Volunteer Opportunities in Ridgeview Ranch

Volunteering.  No matter what you think about it – love it or hate it – the word means something to almost everyone.  Dictionary.com defines the word volunteer as, “a person who offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking. a person who performs a service willingly and without pay.”  Well to me the word means SOOOO much more.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of organizations.  Many can not survive without them.  In many cases, there are a small number of volunteers doing a large chunk of work and when they burn out or need to stop volunteering, the areas in which they volunteered tend to end somewhat abruptly.  These people typically have a passion for what they are doing or for the organization they support.  More than passion – maybe even a drive to give something back or make a difference in the world.

Well, outside of my family, there’s not much I am passionate about.  So, I choose to spend my time volunteering for places, organizations and issues that directly affect my family.  Our community, neighborhood, individual homes are closest to that passion.  That is why I volunteer to serve in Ridgeview Ranch.  I began in playgroups for my kids and moved onto the board several years later.  Your passion may be different, but there are so many opportunities to make a difference right here in the community where you live, I feel sure we can find an area for you to serve.  Take a moment to look at the document linked to below and see if something speaks to you!
